Orewa College win Stage Challenge

Last Thursday, Orewa College won Stage Challenge in the Aotea Centre in Auckland.

Stage Challenge is an enormous dance, drama and music spectacular where schools compete against each other by producing 8 minute long performances.  This is the third time the school have placed in the competition in three years, coming first in 2013, second in 2014 and first again in 2015.  Orewa College’s team was 138 strong, including performers, backstage and props students, and a hair and make up team of members of the school’s community.  

Enormous thanks go to Cheryl Schofield from Navarjo Hair Design who have supported the school tirelessly in our Stage Challenge campaigns for 10 years.  This year's theme was LOVE and told the story of a young school boy Jimmy and his crush Tammy. Salon supports cancer cure

Fundraising schemes, including raffles and sausage sizzles, by the team at Gulf Harbour hairdressing salon Navarjo Hair Design raised more than $3500 for Breast Cancer Cure.
The Breast Cancer Cure organisation aims to find a cure by 2018, and during August and September, L'Oreal Professionnel salons nationwide raised funds to donate to the cause.
Together the salons raised $51,811 and L'Oreal Professionnel added a further $12,000 donation. Navarjo's contribution was one of the five highest in the country.
An added incentive was the fact that salon owner Cheryl Schofield is currently undergoing treatment for cancer.

Join in the fight against breast cancer, L’Oréal Professionnel is joining with brand ambassador Dame,Trelise Cooper and Breast Cancer Cure.

Navarjo Hair Design Is supporting L'Oréal Professionnel to rasie awareness and help support Breast Cancer during the month of September - October!
